Independent coffee and lifestyle brand BEAR announces expansion, confirming the location of their seventh site, which will be situated in Hockley, Nottingham.
BEAR, the beloved Midlands-based independent coffee house, kitchen, and bar brand, is excited to confirm their plans for expansion with the opening of their seventh site in Nottingham's vibrant Hockley neighbourhood. The new location, set to open in Summer 2023, will be situated on Carlton Street, right in the heart of Nottingham's renowned Creative Quarter.
Following the success of their existing sites across the Midlands, BEAR is excited to bring their unique blend of speciality coffee, seasonal fresh food, and handcrafted cocktails to the eclectic and bohemian charm of Hockley. With its rich history and thriving independent scene, Hockley is the perfect backdrop for BEAR's newest store.
BEAR's commitment to preserving and revitalising historic spaces is exemplified in their choice of location. The Carlton Street site, formerly known as Boilermaker and Boca Lima, will be meticulously transformed to create a stunning BEAR experience, while carefully maintaining its architectural integrity. With the signature glass roof, original exposed columns, and other distinctive features, BEAR's newest location promises to captivate visitors and locals alike.
Craig Bunting, Co-Founder of BEAR, expressed his enthusiasm for the expansion: "We couldn't be happier to join the dynamic scene of Hockley and finally bring BEAR to Nottingham. BEAR was born in the Midlands, so investing in such an iconic spot in the city was a natural and fitting next step for us. We have so much love for Nottingham, and the opportunity to be part of the thriving independent community and speciality coffee scene here has got us beyond excited to open our doors!"
BEAR's Hockley store will continue their tradition of providing a comfortable and inclusive space for coffee lovers, foodies, and cocktail enthusiasts. Visitors can look forward to indulging in expertly brewed speciality coffee, seasonal fresh food, hand-crafted cocktails, beautiful wines and craft beer. Additionally, BEAR will introduce their newly-launched evenings' concept, ‘Later at BEAR’, which will be available every evening from 5pm. The Later at BEAR menu will feature mouthwatering treats, including fully-stacked smash burgers, taco trays, loaded fries, and twisted cocktail classics.
As with their other locations, BEAR Hockley will also extend a warm welcome to well-behaved dogs, ensuring that everyone can enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and exceptional hospitality.
BEAR has earned a reputation as an industry leader since opening their first store in Uttoxeter in 2016, combining their Midlands heritage with a touch of inner-city influence to create thoughtfully designed spaces that cater to every taste and occasion.
The opening of BEAR's Hockley store is scheduled for Summer 2023. As the launch approaches, stay tuned for updates and be sure to mark your calendars. Join BEAR on this exciting journey as they bring their passion for speciality coffee, good food, and unforgettable experiences to Nottingham's Hockley neighbourhood.
