2015 was an incredible year and I got to eat some spectacular food. Here is a list of what I feel were the highlights (in no particular order): Please excuse the awful punctuation, I am trying to keep it brief; you can always read the full review of a particular venue by clicking on the links.
I'm going to do this over six sections, the first five sections will be 25 places to eat and the last section will be something different.

Chef Patron Alan Hill is a total legend in my opinion; his menu is imaginative to say the least and the dishes give your tastebuds a complete masterclass in how food should be.

A retro American style ice cream parlour. There is nothing better for those with a sweet tooth than one of Natalies Ice Cream Sundaes.
The White Hart, Bargate.

A lovely country pub with features a go-go, that also serves delightful food. The homemade chips were divine, as was my homemade Plum and Port crumble.
Jeera, Codnor.

To quote my daddy (who is hard to please when it comes to Indian food), “ That was the tastiest curry I’ve ever had, by a country mile”. High praise indeed, and well deserved.
The Village Inn, Marehay.

The homemade pizzas here are quite simply fab, and we love the garlic bread with cheese and caramelised onion. The Pizza oven is in a corner of the pub for all to see, and kids really enjoy seeing their pizzas being made.
