Fentimans the premium mixer brand has today announced the launch of its pop-up gin bakery in partnership with the artisan cake-makers Pearl & Groove and opened by Sophie Faldo, the brilliant 2017 Great British Bake-Off winner.
The UK’s first ever Gin Bakery is set to open its doors in London this week (Friday 21st September), with GBBO star Sophie Faldo there to mark its launch. The Gin Bakery, by premium mixer company Fentimans, can be found in Pearl and Groove Bakery on Notting Hill’s Portobello Road for one weekend only!
The Fentimans Gin Bakery will be open to the public until Sunday 23rd September, where customers can get their hands on gin and Fentimans tonic themed cakes. The limited-edition cakes will be available for £4.25 each or £23 for a box of 6. In addition, 5% discount can be found in nexus. What’s more, guests can also enjoy a G&T made from the same gin and mixer to complement their cake.
You can get involved at home too, Fentimans has developed a series of G&T baking recipes that feature their range of botanically brewed mixers and available to view on their website. The recipes feature creations such as gin and Pink Grapefruit Tonic cheesecake, gin and Sparkling Elderflower cupcakes and gin and Botanical Tonic bundt cake.
Fentimans Marketing Manager, Sarah Brownrigg commented: “The Fentimans Gin Bakery is a really exciting partnership for us. Our consumers love of baking has inspired us to find a way to bring together two of the nation’s favourite things – gin and baking, and what better time to launch the pop-up than during a month that sees Great British Bake-off return to our screens. We’re really excited to be working alongside 2017 GBBO winner Sophie Faldo and Pearl and Groove artisan cake makers and can’t wait to showcase our range of flavoured tonics in the G&T cakes!”
Fentimans are encouraging the public to get involved in the gin baking fun by simply sharing photos of home-made Gin baking delights on social media to win a Kitchen Aid worth £300. See www.fentimans.com/ginbakery for more information.
