Ye Olde Bell is set to host a magical afternoon of alfresco opera in their beautiful gardens on Monday, 31st May.
Guests can relax and enjoy enchanting arias from Manor Opera who will be performing a host of operatic classics.
In addition to the music bespoke luxury picnics will be available from Ye Olde Bell’s AA Rosette kitchen. Expect more than your traditional fayre. Nibbles come in the form of Cocktail Wild Mushroom and Truffle & Spinach Sausage Rolls; Scotch Quails Eggs, Celery Salt & Curry Spiced Aioli; Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese & Poppy Seed Palmier; Giant Paprika Crisps and Marinated Kalamata Olives & Focaccia.
Other dishes include Poached Loch Duart Salmon, New Season Asparagus, Lemon & Dill Mayonnaise; Coronation Chicken Salad, Farfalle, Golden Sultanas, Toasted Almonds & Coriander; Tabbouleh Salad, Roasted Spring Vegetables, Confit Tomato, Pomegranate & Harissa Creme Fraiche. Chocolate Opera will complete the offering.
The Mediterranean Bar will be open serving a whole range of drinks, from Champagne to Pimms.
Performers on the day include Soprano Hazel Neighbour, Tenor Thomas Kinch, Mezzo Soprano Emily Hodkinson, Baritone Thomas Chenhall and Manor Opera Founders Kamilla Dunstan and Carrie-Ann Williams. Nigel Gyte will be on piano and Tim Butcher on sound.
Proceeds will go towards future productions at Manor Opera, at the historic site of the Scrooby Manor House associated with the Mayflower Pilgrims.
Guests are asked to bring their own picnic blankets and enjoy the performance. Tables and chairs will be available on a first come first come first served basis.
