On 12th April, The Cavendish at Baslow will launch an exciting and elegant pop-up restaurant - a Laurent Perrier Seafood & Champagne Terrace, where diners can feast ‘al fresco’ on freshly caught seafood, whilst enjoying open countryside views over the Chatsworth Estate from the hotel’s lawns.
The Laurent Perrier Terrace will offer a range of seafood dishes and platters for sharing, accompanied by a favourite tipple, whether it be Laurent Perrier Champagne La Cuvée, Whittaker’s Gin, or a chilled New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. The selection of seafood includes shellfish from the East Coast and Lindisfarne oysters, flash fried whitebait, ceviche of sea bream, poached lobster, Chatsworth Gin cured salmon caviar.
There can be no finer place in Derbyshire to toast the return of more convivial times this spring and summer. The timeless elegance of a restaurant under stretch canvas, friendly relaxed service and a candlelit ambience during the early evenings, with heaters and blankets for guests’ comfort.
Richard Palmer, Managing Director of The Devonshire Hotels and Restaurants Group, commented about the plans,
“We’re really excited to be introducing a Seafood & Champagne Terrace to The Cavendish at Baslow. We initiated a similar pop-up at our Bolton Abbey property, The Devonshire Arms, last summer, which was very well received by our customers there.
It will be extra special to welcome back face-to-face hospitality to our Derbyshire customers with something novel and distinctive in the local area.
Our team here look forward to giving customers a warm welcome back, whilst preparations are underway to accommodate guests for the “full Devonshire experience” in the weeks and months ahead”.
o Opens 12th April as a pop-up restaurant - will operate throughout the summer until mid-September (following the government guidelines of rule of six, or two households between 12 April and 16 May)
o Outdoor lawn location, with views over the Chatsworth Estate
o 7 days a week – 12 noon til 8pm
o Children are welcome although kindly note that there is no specific children’s menu
o No dogs permitted
o Due to the al-fresco nature of the restaurant, guests are asked to wear appropriate clothing. Derbyshire evenings can get a little chilly!
o Advance booking essential
