intu Derby welcomes a brand new restaurant to its food court with the arrival of award-winning Rikshaw Urban Indian Kitchen.
Opening in the food court on Level 2 on the 15th July, Rikshaw Urban Indian Kitchen will bring a taste of the renowned North Indian street food scene direct to intu Derby.
The menu features delicious and authentic Asian street food staples such as chaats, street food bites and roti wraps, plus an extensive range of vegetarian options and a dedicated vegan menu, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Rikshaw Urban Indian Kitchen will bring even more variety to the range of eateries available in the food court, which include German Donner Kebab, Subway, Yangtze Express, KFC and Tasty Plaice.
Adam Tamsett, general manager at intu Derby, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Rikshaw Urban Indian Kitchen to intu Derby, its award-winning food is the perfect addition to the centre’s wide range of food options.
“The brand is the latest to open at intu Derby, having recently welcomed an array of new retailers such as Pure Electric, hikupon.cz, Disney and Whistles. Bringing Rikshaw Urban Indian Kitchen to the centre is part of our ongoing commitment to offer a wide range of dining experiences for our visitors to enjoy, and we’re confident that it will be a popular choice.”
Shani Shafiq, owner of Rikshaw Urban Indian Kitchen, said: “We’re thrilled to be open at intu Derby, we’re excited to share our award-winning delicious dishes with Derby’s foodies!”
intu Derby has implemented a number of additional safety measures to make sure the centre is a safe place to visit, including; a clearly marked one-way system, visitor numbers being managed and capacity being monitored, as well as hand sanitisation stands located at key points throughout the centre. Seating in the food court on Level 2 has also been restricted to ensure visitors can adhere to social distancing guidelines while enjoying a bite to eat.
