Whilst sampling this delicious food and drink you can wander over to the festival stage and be entertained by a line up of the best in local live music or stumble across one of the street performers.

Chesterfield Food & Drink Festival
2nd-4th August 2019
Chesterfield Food and Drink Festival is back for another year to celebrate all that is great about local produce and live music, with a few surprises along the way.
This year’s festival is set to be even bigger and better with a huge range of delicious hot and cold food that you can sample whilst washing it down with a locally crafted beer, artisan gin or even a prosecco. Co-organiser Laura Ashby states “Last year’s festival had fantastic support with over 8000 people attending over the weekend. We aim to keep growing this event by offering more and more choice of traders as well as activities to entertain every age group and to top it off it’s all free entry to everyone”.
The festival will start at 7pm on Friday 2nd August with our launch party which will take place at the festival village where you will find bars and a choice of hot food to eat whilst the best in local live music will kick off the weekend in style on the festival village stage.
On the Saturday and Sunday, alongside the delicious food and drink, you will find lots to do for the whole family including Children’s activities, Face painting, Party playbus, as well as a huge range of live music on the festival stage, dance demonstrations, social dancing and live entertainment.
This year we will be introducing a brand new Demo Kitchen which will be a platform for local chefs to showcase their skills and demonstrate interesting ways to cook meals in front of an audience. The kitchen will be situated in the main and busiest part of the festival grounds where there will be a constant flow of footfall as well as the public sitting on the grass and a seating area in front of the demo space.
Not only will there be local chefs and restaurants showcasing their skills, we will also be joined by celebrity chef Lesley Waters on Sunday 4th August who will perform a cooking demonstration followed by a meet and greet session with the public.
Ashgate Hospice will be our chosen charity and they will be on site to be able to chat to anyone who wants to hear about the great work that they do.
