Popular Derbyshire farm shop Croots has been shortlisted as a regional finalist in the 2023 Retailer Awards run in conjunction with the Farm Shop & Deli Show.
The finalists include some of the UK’s best loved specialist retailers, pillars of their respective communities and champions of great produce and sustainable practice.
Croots Farm Shop, based at Farnah House Farm, Wirksworth Road, near Duffield, has been named as one of 13 finalists in the Midlands region. It’s the first time that the shop has been shortlisted in these prestigious awards.
Kay Croot, who runs the farm shop, said: “The team at Croots Farm Shop is thrilled to have been selected for the shortlist in the 2023 Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards.
“This year’s award focuses on staff, and we are truly fortunate here at Croots to have an amazing team who are committed to giving our customers an excellent shopping experience. I’d like to thank them for their dedication and support - they have been a cornerstone of the success of Croots since we launched almost 15 years ago.
“It’s a huge honour to have been named as a finalist in the Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards for the first time and we look forward to the awards ceremony in April.”
Croots has won numerous awards over the years, both for the shop and for its products. Most recently it was named as the Great Food Club Awards Shop of the Year 2022/2023.
Family run Croots Farm Shop specialises in selling food and drink made by local producers in Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Nottinghamshire and other nearby counties. It features products from more than 40 suppliers within a 50-mile radius – supporting many other family run businesses - and also sells a wide and expanding range of home-produced items made by the Croots team in-house. The store offers an extensive selection of food, drink, meat, cheeses and deli items, along with gift ideas, wines and spirits.
Winners of the Farm Shop & Deli Retailer Awards will be announced at the Farm Shop & Deli Show on Tuesday 25th April, which takes place as part of the Food & Drink Expo, which runs from 24th to 26th April at the NEC, Birmingham.
Croots Farm Shop is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
