Derby celebrated in The Great British Train Fare Magazine
St Pancras launches online ISSUU guide featuring the station’s favourite destinations
St Pancras International is to launch The Great British Train Fare magazine, a digital guide celebrating the great destinations accessible from the station. The guide, available to view on ISSUU, follows a ten-week in station celebration which has championed the European towns and cities that have left their mark on British culinary culture.
The free digital magazine has been curated by food critic and Great British Menu Judge Matthew Fort and features a profile on Derby, as well as his recommendations on the best restaurants to visit whilst in town. Matthew’s top Derby picks include Darleys, Masa and The Silk Mill & Ale House and the guide also contains great recipes as well as top tips, and interesting facts about this much loved foodie destination.
Food critic Matthew Fort says: “From Sage Derby Cheese to Bakewell Tarts and hot dogs, Derby’s contributions to British food culture are just as impressive as its industrial ones. How about that Derbyshire classic, that famous ‘chuck-in’ dish, The Lobby. Much like a stew or casserole, a lobby is a brilliantly British alternative to use up any leftovers.”
Wendy Spinks, Commercial Director of HS1 Ltd (owner of St Pancras International), said: “Whether it’s grabbing breakfast on the run, a taste of something different to liven up lunch, or celebrating a special occasion, St Pancras caters for all. Our Great British Train Fare magazine demonstrate just how much the British food industry can thrive with continued consumer support.”
The Great British Train Fare magazine launches on 29 October featuring Nottingham, Brighton, Bedford, Sheffield, Margate, Dover, Paris, Brussels and Marseille is available for free on ISSUU.
