There is nothing more deceptive than an obvious fact’, Sherlock Holmes

The Folly at The Farmhouse At Mackworth, a popular events venue situated in what was once an 18th century farmhouse, has the ultimate murder mystery event up its sleeve – perfect for the inner-inspector hiding in you! To be held on 27th November, The Folly has teamed up with ‘Murder Sleuths’ for a terror-filled evening for you and your friends – the question is, will you manage to crack the plot before your prime suspect is slain?

Located in deepest, darkest Derbyshire, get ready for the freakiest of fun at the ultimate murder mystery event of the year. Prior to arrival, guests must be on the ball as the mysterious plot is sent to each individual for some pre-terror totting-up. Come in fancy dress or don your best outfit and begin the evening with a drinks reception from 7.30pm, the perfect chance for guests to meet the characters, followed by a spine-tingling three-course meal, served whilst guests attempt to crack the conspiracy.

The menu boasts a choice of seasonal, hearty dishes including spiced tomato soup with crème fraîche and chives; or smoked ham and leek terrine with cider apple chutney to start, followed by goats’ cheese, spinach and leek tart served with tomato salsa; or pan roasted chicken breast with potato croquette and a red wine sauce for main. Round off the meal with desserts including indulgent chocolate brownies with chocolate sauce and a scoop of honeycomb ice cream; or Bakewell Tart with vanilla ice cream.

This highly interactive experience is ideal for those looking for a fun-filled evening with friends and the ultimate gruesome challenge. Your detective brainpower will need to be in full swing with ‘evidence’ boards strategically placed around the room and every table boasting its own actor dropping hints and clues – will you be deceived or do you have the tenacity to take on the remarkable Murder Sleuths?

Tickets are priced at just £30 per person, 10% off at Ticket Liquidator. For more information or to book, please email info@thefarmhouseatmackworth.com or call 01332 824324.

Event time: 7.30pm until late
