LUXlife Magazine Announces the Winners of the 2018 Food & Drink Awards, including local Derbyshire food blog, The Sticky Beak Blog.
The Food & Drink Awards reveal the best establishments offering sumptuous cuisine from across the globe, spanning Artisan kitchens, innovative street cuisine, gourmet restaurants and gastro pubs. The LUXlife Magazine panel looked for the individuals and enterprises who offer outstanding gastronomic delicacies, unearthing the work done before the kitchen. All too often, the food producers and manufacturers who allow our favourite eateries to be stocked with the best ingredients are overlooked, and the team felt it important to acknowledge this element of the industry.
Commenting on the success of the awards and their deserving winners, Katherine Benton, Coordinator, stated: “Every one of our deserving winners has proven themselves truly worthy of one of these prestigious accolades thanks to their hard work, determination and dedication to excellence. I am proud of all of my winners, and would like to wish them all the very best for the future.”
Derbyshire’s very own Sticky Beak Blog scooped the Best Food Review Blog 2018 award, and was absolutely thrilled to win. Angie Curran-Bilbie and her husband Paul (who are the people behind the blog) said “Our blog is testament to the quality of the venues and food producers in and around our area; without their skill we wouldn’t have anything to write about, so this award is as much about them as it is about us. Thank you to whoever nominated us, and we’re looking forward to more new adventures in 2019”.
Fellow winners in Derbyshire include The Bridge Inn, Calver, BEAR in Derby, The Merchant’s Yard in Tideswell, Mercia in Wirksworth, Códigos descuento Groupon, Derby Brewing Co., and The Barley Mow in Chesterfield.
